The shoes are very comfortable and very nice looking. The staff was very helpful in getting me the correct fit. As you can see, I am able to wear my Richie brace with on my left foot. I use extra insoles and a heel liner in the right shoe. I love how they fit.

I work in a retail boutique and am on my feet all day. I saw these shoes on TV and ordered two pairs - they are everything I had hoped they would be! I love the way they come up the sides of my foot and the cross-cross elastic holds them on with out feeling tight. They feel like they are hugging my feet all day, I come home at the end of the day with feet that not sore at all - and several customers have even commented on how much they like the shoes! I love these shoes! Comfortable, beautiful and cool! I even use them in the winter wearing my alpaca socks, they still fit perfectly and keep my feet warm. My feet are narrow but the shoes hold very well. Soles are soft. I never wear ballerina style shoes because they give me leg and back pain, but the Apropos are the only ones that make me feel comfortable all day. Keep making them, we love them! MP

Ordered one size up but they are still too small.
I bought the shoes to celebrate after having heel surgery. Unfortunately I wasn't able to wear them for a few months after surgery (cast, boot, brace!) When I was finally able to wear them I found the heel on the left shoe was collapsed so it is not very comfortable wearing. I assumed it was too late to send back so now they are sitting in my closet. If based on looks alone - they are very cute!
Store owner replied: Hi Barbara, Our offer to restore your left shoe on the Floral Fog pattern is still open for your follow-up with the return. As we shared with you on our phone, FF has a very relaxed weave and if the shoes are collapsed or something compresses on the heel, it may cause a crease memory. This can be corrected with a small modification by us. If your foot has a "soft" or petite heel contour that doesn't quite fill the heel, it leaves a void or excess fabric. After many fabrics of apropos footwear over a period of probably more than 25 years ago, I now know why they are referred to as “conversation shoes!” Wherever I travel for work or at home they are always on my feet! I cannot begin to count the times I have been stopped and asked “I love your shoes they look so comfortable which I reply, “ I don’t own a pair of shoes that can beat apropos footwear.”I wash them on delicate cycle and line dry and have never had a problem. I never write reviews of products but I love, love these shoes so much I just had to let women everywhere know abut Apropos! I bought my first pair about twenty years ago and have been hooked ever since. These are by far the MOST comfortable shoes ever, with the most unique patterns, and they last for years and years! Apropos are so versatile and stylish - I have worn them on vacation, to work, to shop, etc., etc. I am a teacher and am on my feet all day, but these wonderful shoes keep my 'light on my feet'. They are among the only shoes that I can wear on vacation, confident that after a long day of sightseeing my feet (and back) will still be pain free. Every woman should have at least one pair!
I really like the fun pattern on this shoe. It is a little tight across the instep, and my right heel slips, but I’m trying to follow the advice/directions and wearing the shoes to let them adjust to my feet, and it is getting better. Not sure if the metatarsal support will be enough without my orthotic insoles for long wearings, but they seem all right for the short wearings ai have been doing around the house.

I wanted to love this shoe because of the look and the cushiony sole, which most flats don’t have. But after trying 2 sizes, I’m giving up. It’s just too scratchy and I can’t imagine having them on my feet on a hot day.
One of my daughters is crazy about your shoes and I ordered a pair because of her enthusiasm. They were smart and beautiful, but the right one irritated the potential bunion on that foot. I expressed my dilemma to customer service, and was told that the vamp on the shoe needed to be deeper and to please send a picture. I did so and was rewarded with a new right shoe with said deep vamp. It fits perfectly. No irritation. I cannot believe how caring a company you are. I love them. They are beautiful. But, I have the beginning of a bunion on my right foot and the cross strap on that side seems to irritate that area. I don't want to send them back, and I'm trying a pad and/or a band aide attempting a solution. Any suggestions? Jeanne Ray
Fit like a glove as promised!
The first time I bought Apropos shoes was over 11 years ago and I still wear those shoes to work. I recently bought this new pair and learned that in 11 years I was no longer the same size. I have a large bunion and I think flatter feet. I spoke with Apropos and they were very helpful in fitting me in shoes that are now the right size. Great customer service.
